Please Consider
Please consider for a moment that as a human, you are born a blank slate. Your mind grows and forms by interacting with your caretakers and your environment.
This blank slate functions like a supercomputer, constantly downloading information and processing it in real time. Depending on what information and experiences it processes, the “self” is created.
The “self” is you. And you are the culmination of your interactions within your environment. Your personality, beliefs, thoughts, behaviors, and entire being is completely intertwined with these experiences. There is no you without them.
Now consider the environment in which you’re born. An environment you have no control over. An environment that demands your acclimation to it in order to survive. An environment that is unconditionally violent, remarkably cruel, and strikingly apathetic. A society reflecting a psychopathic mind.
The society we exist in was not built by us, the people. It was built by those in power. They control the institutions and the information. And because of this, reality as we know it has been manufactured by those at the top, who will do anything to maintain their dominance.
We, on the other hand, are manipulated and conditioned to believe that society is a reflection of us. We’re told that how we exist within our society is natural. We’re told that this is how it’s always been and always will be. We’re told that there is no other way. This couldn’t be further from the truth.
Our society is sick. And it isn’t sick because of human nature. Society is sick because very sick people, who have held power for centuries, keep it this way purposefully. Our society is a reflection of them, not us.
This is why we are forced to compete on an abundant planet. It’s why we can’t afford healthcare or medical emergencies. It’s why we’re exploited for our labor and kept from our loved ones for the majority of our days. It’s why our food is poisonous, and our air polluted.
It’s why our people are violent. It’s why sociopathy is so prevalent and why it’s rewarded. It’s why we’re exhausted, stressed, depressed, and mentally ill. It’s why it’s so common for people to be addicted to alcohol, or drugs, or social media, or pills. It’s why everyone dissociates and fights to escape reality.
It’s why we’re always at war. It’s why we’re told that war is natural, but soldiers come home and commit suicide. It’s why we work to fund genocides and weapons of mass destruction. It’s why we’re policed over, surveilled, imprisoned, and treated like criminals.
It’s why we hate each other. It’s why we’re divided and fear our neighbors. It’s why we view one another as enemies, instead of recognizing that we are all human. We have the same needs. The same organs. The same emotions.
We are not separate.
The hateful, disconnected, distorted minds of the powerful have created our environment. Their wants have become our reality. They want us to work, consume, and die. And so, we work, consume, die, and call it life.
Please consider that this is not how we are meant to live. We are extraordinary beings that are capable of endless potential. Our minds are phenomenal. Our capacity to overcome great suffering is astonishing. Our ability to love and empathize is awe-inspiring. Our passion, creativity, drive, talent, and curiosity are remarkable. We are a truly powerful species.
But we’ve been kept ignorant about how our own minds function and how we interact with our environment. The reality is that as humans, we are hugely influenced by outside factors. While we make decisions in our day-to-day life, all of our behaviors are dictated by our environment.
The blank state that we start off with is entirely molded by the world in which we are born into. We are an easily conditioned species, and although that might be difficult for us to accept, it’s the truth. We respond to positive and negative stimuli. We acclimate for survival.
We rationalize that which should not be rationalized because we must in order to endure.
That’s why we go against our own best interests. It’s why we do the same thing over and over again and expect different results. It’s why we accept less and less yet remain hopeful. It’s why we believe things will get better, despite them getting consistently worse.
It’s why we believe in heroes. It’s why we think that there are people in positions of power who will fight for us. But that’s not how power works, and maybe deep down, we know that.
Whether we’re all conscious of it or not, we sense that something is horribly wrong. More and more people are beginning to speak it. They’re beginning to act on it. The blinders are coming off.
Consider the fact that we exist during a very crucial time. Information is everywhere. We can connect like never before. We can educate ourselves and research and discover truths that were once hidden. We can share stories and see places we’ve never been to.
We can learn from one another. And we can unlearn together.
All the lies and the manipulations can be unlearned. We have the ability to think differently and to cut the ties that have always bound us to our manufactured reality. If we do, there are endless possibilities for our species.
We can fundamentally transform our environment and evolve. The only hindrance is our own mind. Once we overcome our own conditioning, there will be no stopping us. We are far too many.
Please consider that we can save ourselves.

Thank you for writing such a beautiful piece!
Great article and I agree with it.
However, I'm left with HOW. What is the next steps and how do we move towards improvement. I can't convince anyone who believes the mainstream narrative (MSM) of any of the fairly obvious issues.
