Bernays knew what he was talking about - the evil people controlling our mass media have this psychological and emotional manipulation and control down to a science. Bernays wrote in his book Propaganda:

“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. … We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. … In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons… who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.”

Well & succinctly put. Few realize that dissociation is common, even fewer that it is damaging.

I love this. 2 weeks ago I made a new rule - 30 minutes of phone a day. Community first no matter what. The 15 year old will benefit when her head stops spinning. All is well within my soul.

Have you read Whitney Webb's One Nation under Blackmail? Or perhaps seen her interviews on Rumble with various hosts? Also; "Rules for Radicals" Sal Alinsky's autobiographical book in which he pays tribute in the foreword to Lucifer the ultimate Rebel who was so successful at it he was given his own Kingdom. Hilary Clinton wrote her 92 page Wellesley College thesis on it and spent considerable time with him in Chicago (Her and Saul's hometown) It was put under lock and key the second Bill took office in 93 and has never been seen again by the public. The 13 rules in Saul's book is what you are being subjected to on a daily basis and in no small part is considerably ironic that you are calling for rebellion while you are being subjected to it and don't even recognize it for what it is! They are using Saul's tactics to coerce fascist to tear down the financial stability of the world to ultimately usher in communism as the new global order.

An excellent summary of the basis psychosocial fabric and one of the most common responses.

I firmly believe more people would be aware of this if TV, drugs, porn and other distractions weren't so prevalent. People opt for a different form of dissociation/escape rather than experience it fully in the cold light of day, which can be very disturbing.

At other times, though, I choose it consciously. I've got to the point where I'm like "you know what, I'm done with today, I'll skip to tomorrow", I'll get into bed and move into a dissociated state which eventually results in a kind of sleep.

Sometimes that is preferable to dealing with the awful shit that can fill my day.

Once again, well done for the writing. Please keep it up!

Hey, this is the first time reading one of your articles. I was following you on Twitter but they gone banned me for telling someone something they didn't like. Keep up the good work. I might even have a go myself at writing something.
